What started as a small village to showcase traditional artistry, Rajasthani culture, and its delectable cuisine has now grown into the “Chokhi Dhani Group.” Today, the group boasts an extensive list of luxury resorts and top hotels across India, Europe, and the Middle East. In addition to hospitality, Chokhi Dhani has ventured into Handicrafts and FMCG E-commerce through its brands “Kalagram” and “Chokhi Dhani Foods.”
Under the leadership of Chairman Mr. Gul Vaswani and Managing Director Mr. Subhash Vaswani, the Chokhi Dhani Group has become one of India’s leading hospitality and E-commerce brands.
Business Need:
Chokhi Dhani operates a large organization with numerous employees, necessitating extensive use of business email services. The company initially relied on G Suite (Google Workspace) for its email needs, incurring significant costs due to the large number of mailboxes required. With 250-300 email accounts, the expense of maintaining all accounts on G Suite became increasingly burdensome.
The challenge was to find a cost-effective solution without compromising the functionality and reliability of critical business communications.

To address Chokhi Dhani’s need for cost-effective email management, we implemented a split routing solution that utilizes both Gmail and WHM (cPanel). This approach allowed the company to allocate its email resources efficiently:
1. Gmail for Critical Accounts:
- Important and critical email accounts were retained on G Suite to benefit from its advanced features and reliability.
2.WHM (cPanel) for Less Critical Accounts
- Less critical email accounts were migrated to WHM's webmail service, reducing costs while still maintaining necessary functionality.

Implementation:
The implementation involved setting up split routing between G Suite and WHM (cPanel):
1. Primary MX for G Suite: >
- The primary MX record was set to G Suite, ensuring that all incoming emails were first directed to G Suite's servers.
2. Split Routing Configuration:
- Split routing was configured within G Suite's admin panel. When an email is received at the domain level, G Suite checks if the recipient's email account exists within G Suite. If the account is not found, the email is automatically forwarded to the corresponding WHM (cPanel) mailbox.
This setup ensures that critical emails continue to be managed by G Suite, while less important emails are handled by the more cost-effective WHM solution.
Cost Savings:
By adopting the split routing approach, Chokhi Dhani was able to significantly reduce its email service costs. With approximately 250-300 mailboxes, the company managed to cut costs by 50-60%, ensuring that essential communications remained uninterrupted while optimizing expenses for less critical email accounts.
This solution provided Chokhi Dhani with a balanced approach to email management, delivering both cost efficiency and reliability across their organization.
